Since what feels like forever, I have used a clear mascara on my brows as I find it a great product to use not only on my lashes for a natural daytime look, it also works well in shaping my brows in place.
However, I have just recently started using the Benefit Gimme Brow+ and I have to tell you all about.
I was thrilled to discover this product during one of my monthly Benefit Brow Bar Shaping appointments. The lovely Aesthetician asked me if I’d like my eyebrows filling in after my wax. I was a little apprehensive as I prefer a more minimalistic look and I really didn’t want to leave the brow bar with overly filled eyebrows. Anyway, I said yes and when she held the mirror up so I could see how my eyebrows were looking, I was sold. ‘I will have one of those thank you very much’ was my immediate response without even asking the price, which is unlike me as a do like to find the best deals for everything.
£21.50 later, I was feeling very pleased with my impulse purchase.
I chose the Gimme Brow+ in shade 4.5.
After a little product research, I found out it had been relaunched in April 2018 after it was voluntarily recalled in October 2017. A statement from Benefit Cosmetics Company said ‘the product did not meet its stringent quality standards’ and could cause irritation if made contact with eyes. The new relaunched Gimme Brow+ is now super safe to use as it ‘passed stringent safety testing and meets the high quality standards set by Benefit’s parent company LVMH.’
Thanks to its tiny microfibres the gel promises to make eyebrows super volumised by sticking to the brow hairs and boosting them. The waterproof formula is weightless and light which is perfect for creating a minimalist appearance. It also works wonders in shaping my brows in place giving them super staying power. The Gimme Brow+ has given me the confidence to fill in any patchy areas whilst maintaining the ‘au natural’ look I like.
The little wand and the formula combined are user friendly and the results are incredible.
The Gimme Bow+ is now a regular part of my make-up routine.
Do you have any eyebrow makeup tips or know of any other great products?
I would love to hear from you.
Lot’s of love Dana xx
This was a good read. I’ve only just recently started getting my brows done after having a baby!
I think it’s worth getting them done by a professional.
I would choose getting my eyebrows done over having a manicure these days.
