This is our first time joining the linky celebrating childhood, based on a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” .
Woo hoo we can finally spread our wings a little and venture further a field with the kids, hallelujah I shout out loud! Come on kids we are off!
One of our first stops was a quick drive to our neighbouring county of Bedfordshire which felt like biggest adventure ever, especially for Cuba and Coco-Ivy, bless them!
It was a wonderfully bright and crisp day and despite it being a little chilly at times the kids were on a very serious mission to scoff their first Mr Whippy ice-cream of the year.
Well, after taking the longest time in choosing which ice-cream they wanted, both Cuba and Coco-Ivy decided on the ever faithful 99 with red sauce.
I don’t think we’ve had a quieter 10 minutes for a very long time, very serious business indeed.
It had been a while since I put my camera mama shoes on and thank goodness I did. I took so many lovely shots to choose from.
Cuba spotted this very relaxed swan chilling on the walkway, obviously a great photo opportunity.
Here it was so lovely to watch Coco-Ivy walking by the beautifully fully bloomed daffodils. She really loves exploring plants and flowers and she really appreciates being outdoors.
Sending love,
Dana, Cuba & Coco-Ivy xx
Welcome to the link up, it’s one of my favourites. That is a gorgeous picture of Coco-Ivy in the daffodils, such simple flowers but don’t they just cheer you up so much.

Parts of Bedfordshire are just so beautiful. It looks like they had a great day and you can’t beat a 99! x
