Organic Breastfeeding and Lactation Support From ‘Three Mamas’

My personal breastfeeding journey started over 16 years ago and three children later, what a journey it has been. Especially considering that during my first pregnancy I had no intention of breastfeeding my baby. However, when I held my baby for the first time everything changed.

A  lovely midwife settled me and my baby on to the observation ward after my emergency Caesarean Section. She then asked me if I wanted to feed my baby. I was overwhelmed with emotion, burst into tears and without thinking my baby was latched on to my breast. For me it was the most natural thing. My body had created a life and then had the ability to feed and nourish that life. A powerful and beautiful thing.

Don’t get me wrong breastfeeding had its many challenges for me which I look forward to sharing with you in future posts. I have learnt a lot on the way, mainly that breastfeeding is not easy and the more honest, frank and engaging conversations we have with new mums the better support we can share. When I was given the opportunity to collaborate with the brand Three Mamas I knew it was the perfect partnership as their mission is super relatable.

Three Mamas is the brain child of three breastfeeding mums who have brought to market four super fabulous organic breast feeding  supplements designed with the modern mama in mind.

In their own words ‘Having exclusively breastfed our firstborn from birth, it wasn’t long before we started to understand many of the day to day struggles involved with parenting in the 21st century in particular, when it came to breastfeeding.’

‘Finding the right balance between giving your child the best possible start in life, with the desire of trying to make the most of your own, is the goal for every modern parent.’

The three mamas are real breastfeeding mums and their primary aim is to create unique organic products and projects which will be of benefit to mothers who want to prolong breastfeeding using the same natural methods they have tried and tested on their own  breastfeeding journey. The Three Mamas genuinely understand that the feeding path is not easy, but with a little help, it is achievable and it’s most certainly worth the effort!

I am privileged to join in their supportive mission and help spread the word about their products. The four products are vegan friendly, organic, gluten and gelatine free containing Galactagogues which is an organic substance that is known to help promote the production of breast milk. Three Mammas use a total of 9 different Galactagogues across their product range.

A Galactagogue, from the Greek word “galacta” which means milk, is a substance that increases the production of breast milk.
