• Over 40’s Fashion Instagram Influencers We Should All Be Following

The super stylish over 40’s Instagram influencers truly blow my mind. They are a complete force on social media platforms for not only 40 somethings like myself, but for all women across all ages.

Here are 7 of my favourite girl crush fashion influencers we should all be following for some style inspiration.

    1 Folake Kuye Huntoon

    Style Pantry

Folake Kuye Huntoon of Style Pantry has to be my biggest current obsession. As soon as I saw her stunningly beautiful styles I was hooked. She absolutely knows how to wear colours together.  She has recently released her own collection, FKSP, which is full of the kind of bright, tailored staples you’ll come to know as her signature.

Jamaican-born, Italy-based Tamu McPherson is a well-loved face in the fashion industry. Tamu never stops giving sharing her many different ideas and looks on a daily basis. She is a blogger, photographer, editor, consultant and more. Tamu is utterly unpredictable, you will never know what Tamu will wear or get up to next.

    3 Kat Farmer

Kat, 47, is a stylist, fashion blogger and writer. she shares her expert advice on everything about styling, from different outfits to fashion hacks. You will see her working on the stylist team on the BBC’s new series of ‘You Are What You Wear’. Her typical style is midi skirts, classic but brightly coloured dresses teamed with fun layering techniques.

I look like I’m working for Dave’s Mobile Discos 😂😂😂 I don’t care. I love all of this. The jeans are my absolute faves – obviously the cheapest I’ve ever bought at less than a tenner in the sale years ago, the belt is older than my eldest daughter and there is never an occasion when sequins don’t work. It’s what you team them with. I might even crack out a sequin skirt for our road trip tomorrow.. 😚😚 Also ignoring the “mum… is this your mid life crisis outfit?” It’s my “who knows what day it is and when are we all going to be able to get out of here, outfit”. So yes. It probably is 😂😂 AND I had a good hair day. Which is handy. SAID NO ONE EVER IN LOCKDOWN! 😂😂 (i also got round to washing the glasses.. and the dishwasher got emptied NOT BY ME! Obvs already needs emptying again.. 🙄😩😂 #ootd #wiwt Tee @hollisterco (4yrs ago) – jeans @zara (sale 3yrs ago) – belt @jasmblondon (18yrs ago) – jacket @lovelysvintage (2yrs ago) – sandals @birkenstock1774 X @proenzaschouler @netaporter (ss20)

    4 Diane Capozzi

    Fashion on the fourth floor

Diane is a new blogger only starting last year however, She has already proved she’s a serious fashionista with some of her freshest of  looks. Think sports-luxe and grown-up chic. She always looks a picture of natural and healthy beauty.

With today being the first day of the week & first day of the month…. it’s the first day of the rest of our lives! 🙏🏾 After a very, unsettling weekend of protests, demonstrations & riots… today has to be the first day to unlearn old habits & relearn new habits. Commit, stand up, speak out, uplift, support, mobilize, raise awareness, organize, vote & ACT! 🙏🏾 It’s insane that being treated differently “on account of race” has been our normal in this country. This should NOT be our “normal”. We MUST create a new “normal”. It falls on all of us, Every Single Human to END systemic racism #antiracism #blacklivesmatter #blm #endracism #weareone #dontbesilent

    5 Arlinda

    Fashion after 50

There is so much to say about Arlinda who exploded on Instagram aged 61. She is a fashion designer well known for her skirts. She is a motivational speaker inspiring older women to explore social media. “Maybe I don’t want to look young. Maybe I want to look like I look.”  When I grow up want to be half as cool as Arlinda.

Grece Ghanem is the Canadian personal trainer-turned-fashion influencer the social media world  just cannot get enough of. Her style is super chic but she isn’t afraid of out-there current funky trends either.

    7 Sophie Fontanel

You may recognise Sophie Fontanel from Old Céline, Hermès and H&M campaigns. I admire Sophie’s style and flair with her easy wardrobe basics. Her French style is easily recognisable.
