It’s day 2 of the #Blogtober20 and the prompt today is ‘The one I love’.
I informed the man in my life, Sean that todays post just might include him. His response was ‘oh man do you have to?
He is my biggest blogging supporter but would rather I stick to talking about me and the kids, which is one of the reasons he is the one I love.
Obviously as a mama of three kids I can’t choose one and leave the other two out! So apologies Sean!
So, allow me to introduce Sean, he is 4 years younger than me and we met twelve years ago while we were both on family holidays in Jamaica.
He was staying there in a guest house opposite my parents house and a week into the holiday we met at a bank holiday celebration.
We seemed to instantly click and went on a couple of dates there.
We spoke almost everyday after arriving back home. It wasn’t long until we were planning a future together.
Guyana, South America
Sean’s family are Guyanese and all his grandparents emigrated to London.
His grandmas story of a child growing up an orphan in the rainforest is one that should be published in a book.
An ancestor from the same grandmas side of the family is the tallest Guyanese man on record.
Sean works extremely hard as a distribution manager, currently working for Amazon. It is a cut throat working environment however, he has always maintained excellent engagement skills with his staff teams. He is a very popular manager and has helped many people progress in their careers.
Londoner born and bred
He is a Londoner born and bred and grew up in Brixton, south London.
His mum also grew up in Brixton on the same street as the reggae reggae chef and business entrepreneur Levis Roots.
He’s a loyal Arsenal fan and I’m sure he dreams of having the time to watch a match in real time and not on catch up TV!
He also enjoys the usual stuff like watching movies and reading.
Sean is a music fanatic, his favourites being drum and bass, reggae, soul, hip-hop, and in his younger days happy hardcore. Back in the day he was a DJ working in London nightclubs.
Rice and peas
He is a great cook, his culinary specailties are Caribbean delights, curry, spicy one pot’s and rice and peas.
Sean is a great father and partner, he has always supported me and my blogging ambition. Although he could up his romance game once in a while!
I hope that wasn’t too bad for him!
